Important. Bloom is a playful tool to help parents nurture a child's strengths. It is not a medical, psychological, or educational diagnosis and is not a substitute for professional advice. If your child has special needs, or you have any concern about their development, please consult a doctor, teacher, or qualified specialist. Always supervise your child during activities.

What we collect

Your account email — to sign you in, stored securely on our servers.
Your child's profile — the details you choose to enter (name, age, interests, notes), stored in your private account.
Activity — which quests were done and your reflections, used to personalise future quests.

Account holders must be 18 years of age or older. We do not require a real name for your child and ask you to share only what you're comfortable with. We retain your data for as long as your account is active; all data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

How quests are generated

Quest text is generated by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, through a secure server proxy. Only non-identifying learning context is sent — the child's age, school year, pronoun choice, the interests you list, anonymous play patterns (which quests were played and how they went), and the things you explicitly ask Bloom to build games around (a topic name, what school is learning, an interest and your answers to its setup questions). Your child's name, your notes and reflections, and the personal details in the child profile (sensitivities, hopes, languages, who plays with them) are never transmitted to Anthropic or any AI service. Quest content is not used to train AI models and is not sold.

What we never do

We never sell your data or your child's data.
We never show third-party advertising.
We never transmit your child's name, your notes, or the child profile's personal details to any AI service.
We never share personal data except as needed to run the service (e.g. our AI provider) or as required by law.

Parent-controlled app

Bloom is operated entirely by the parent or guardian. Accounts are held by adults. All activity is initiated and supervised by a parent — Bloom is a tool for parents, used together with their child. We practise data minimisation and encourage you to keep your child's entered details light.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your child's profile at any time in Settings, and delete your account and all data from the device using "delete account".

Terms of Use

Bloom is provided "as is", for personal, family use only.
Activities and quests are suggestions only — you are responsible for assessing what is safe and appropriate for your child, and for supervising them at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bloom and its makers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages arising from use of the app or participation in any suggested activity.
By using Bloom you agree to these terms and the privacy practices above. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
